Okay, well, seeing as I'm waking up like this (like Orlando, I suppose), I'm going to have to say that since I sleep in the nude, my first thing will be sexual: masturbation.

As for other stuff I'd like to do as a woman....hmmm.

I suppose I'd like to treat men the way we like to be treated by women...with respect rather than distrust...with love for our masculinity rather than disdain for it...etc....

I suppose I'd like to do something really shocking that I'd NEVER get away with as a man: flash a few people.

I suppose I'd really want to know what sex is like from the other side, and if I liked it as much as I enjoy it as a man, that I'd be a fairly slutty/promiscuous woman. I mean, men have to work to get laid. Women can get laid pretty much by whomever and whenever they want. I suppose I'd like that.

Oh, and I would teach myself to piss standing up, cause I've known women who can do it. Then, after I'd taught myself this handy trick, I'd teach it to other women.

I'd definitely get a belly ring, cause that's just HOT.

The brutal truth would be I wouldn't have to look hard for a job and I would certainly make a lot more money. I would hope to have a completely different body. I would have to discover my new features in the shower, then determine if I want a new wardrobe or stay a tomboy.

Most people here seem to have read the question as "you wake up and you are the OPPOSITE gender", I choose to take this question at its face value and wake up finding myself to be ANOTHER gender: one that has never existed before, not male, not female, not even intersexed. I have read a few science fiction stories about worlds where there are more than 2 genders, the closest thing I know of on this planet are clown fish which live in groups of 3 and are 3 gendered: male, female, and neutral--where the neutral fish morphs into either male or female as needed. However, in the sci-fi stories all of the 3, 4 or 5 genders are distinctive and valid (they are not a neutral morpher).

So, the first thing I would do would be to start a processing of discovering who I really am as this new gendered individual. If they existed, I would find other people who were also my new gender and compare feelings and desires; together we would be who we were and not what other people wanted us to be. If I were the only one, it would be more difficult but I would still find my own way of being and relating to others: in other words, I would peacefully co-exist with males and females but I would not suppress or change any of myself to meet the dominant gender expectations of what it means to be human.

To be quite honest, the first thing I would do after waking up, is go to the bathroom. It would be a new experience not to have to lift the lid and worry about dribbling. :-) Of course wiping may be a new experience. ;-)

Then I would probably head off to the mall and try on new clothes, especially the shoe store, where I could experience the mystique that so many women feel when they are teasing the poor guy fitting them for shoes. I may even do it sans underwaear. :-o

I wake up as a woman.

Then I get out of bed and take a really long shower, making sure I use up all of the hot water.

I perform strange rituals with make-up, blow dryers, and curling irons. These last at least 45 minutes all together.

I go to work and flirt with my male coworkers. If they flirt back, I examine my mood to see if a sexual harrassment lawsuit is in order.

I buy a couple of cats and a few pairs of shoes.

I purchase the latest People magazine and begin to criticize the rich, famous, and beautiful at rapid fire speeds. Apparently, this makes me feel better about myself.

I eat some cheesecake.

I cry for a little while.

I call one of my friends and talk for an hour without actually saying anything.

I take another shower.

Go to bed. Wake up. Repeat.
